Description
T helper (Th) cells provide helper functions to other cells in regulating immune responses. They secrete cytokines to stimulate various effector cells, such as cytotoxic T cells, B cells, and macrophages, and play an important role in the activation and maturation of these cells. These cytokines have also been linked to inflammation and autoimmune diseases. There are different subsets of CD4+ Th cells, including Th1, Th2, Th17 and regulatory T cells (Tregs). Each subpopulation is activated by a specific set of cytokines and transcription factors and is characterized by the cytokines they secrete and the effector functions they exert.
Accurate measurement of Th the expression of cytokines for insight into the immune response and many disease processes is very important. Creative Proteomics offers microbead-based multiplex detection panels that allow the quantitative analysis of multiple analytes from a small number of samples.
