Description

When stimulated by external factors (e.g. stimulants, pathogens), Th (helper T cells) will differentiate to Th1, Th2, etc. Th1/Th2 can secrete a variety of cytokines and participate in different immune responses. Th1 secretes cytokines such as IFN-γ, IL-2, and TNF-α, which mainly mediate cellular immune responses, regulate cytotoxic T cell differentiation, and participate in delayed hypersensitivity reactions, while Th2 secretes cytokines such as IL-4, IL-10, and IL-13, which mainly mediate humoral immunity, promote B cell proliferation, differentiation, and antibody production. The detection of various types of Th cells is achieved by detecting secreted cytokines (e.g. IFN-γ, IL-4). Under normal circumstances, Th1 and Th2 in the body are in a relative balance. When this balance is broken, various diseases may occur, such as tumors and autoimmune diseases.
