What is Olink Proteomics?

Proteins are increasingly emphasized in research as functional performers of life activities. Due to translational and post-translational regulation, the correlation between RNA expression and actual protein content is not high, and the correlation between low-abundance proteins and mRNAs is especially low. However, most low-abundance proteins, such as protein kinases and transcription factors, are favorite targets for research and clinical studies. Therefore, even with high-throughput methods such as RNA-seq, there is a need to characterize and quantify the proteins themselves directly.
